Tata Chemicals signs MoU with Cornell University
Tata Chemicals today announced the signing
of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the College of
Agriculture and Life Sciences, Cornell University.
The MoU envisages scientific and academic personnel exchanges
and visits, and cooperative research in areas of academic
and scientific interest. The MoU will be for a duration of
five years and will encourage and support well-integrated
collaborative industry focused research through the development
of specific cooperative projects and programmes.
Says Prasad Menon, MD, Tata Chemicals, "We are pleased
to enter into this alliance. Close linkages between the industry
and academia ensure that intellectual capital and emerging
technologies are brought together in ways that promote economic
growth and an improved quality of life. It helps in creating
an environment that is conducive to innovation and learning."

Coffman, professor of plant breeding and director of International
Programs in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at

a truly productive relationship for both organisations."
