Specialty precipitated Silica for Paints, Inks & Adhesive & Paper Applications
Tata Chemicals' specialty grade silica can be used in coating applications with improved rheology control & high performance properties such as matting effect, improved surface finish, abrasion resistant. It can be used in epoxy resins and adhesive application as thickening agent & rheology modifiers, also help improving abrasion resistance and mechanical strength of end applications. Silica works as an excellent reinforcement filler for paper pulp, coating additive for surface smoothness which imparts stability of printing inks on papers.

Nano Zinc Oxide for Paints, Inks & Adhesives
ZnSpers — A superior quality of dispersible nano Zinc Oxide, developed using innovative nanotechnology, ZnSpers imparts better UV blocking and anti-microbial properties to paints. It enables the coatings to retain their colour and shine for an extended period.
ZnSpers can withstand temperatures up to 200 degrees centigrade. It is suited for adhesive applications that need bonding action during heat treatment or when exposed to high temperatures.

Metal salts for paints, inks and adhesives
Our lithium-ion battery recycling unit is a source of metal salts which find varied applications in industry:
- Lithium Carbonate (Li2CO3) is used mainly in tile adhesive solutions. It is also used as a part of both high-fire and low-fire ceramic glazes.
- Cobalt Sulfate (CoSO4) is used for decorating porcelains, glass as well as in ceramics, glazes and enamels to protect from discolouration. It is also used in lithographic ink, sympathetics (invisible ink), and synthetic inks as a drier in paint, linoleum, and varnishes.
- Manganese Sulfate solution (MnSO4) is used for processing paint.
